Chinese New Year 2015 | Monkey Loves Makeup

Happy Chinese New Year lovelies!!! This is a time to play with colors, I choose purple today! A purple smokey eye! This is really simple! I literally use 4 brushes only! 

This is the Before.

 Now just fill in your brows with brow powder or pencil! I use powder because it looks softer.

 Today I'm using my VS Palette for  eye shadow & blush

 I started with a light lilac as a base just to neutralize the lids.

 I'm using my fingers no tools!

 As you can see it's just a light wash.

 I'm using a slightly darker lilac to intensify the purple, it's still a light purple just a bit more saturated.

 Taking a deeper purple on my fingers and I'm gonna work it into my outer corners & into the crease.

 After dabbing it into outer corners I use my clean fingers to blend the shadow, just blend it until it looks smokey.

 You'll have this after you blend it in.

 Taking a even darker purple, dab it at the outer corner and blend it in as well.

 Now you have your smokey eye.

 Taking a light champagne shade on your fingers as well.

 Apply it to the brow bone to highlight the eyes.

 Take your fav foundation or concealer apply the center of the face and blend it out, or just apply it to your problem areas.

 I just use my fav foundation by NARS and my Real Techniques Buffing Brush to buff out the product, this will create a flawless natural finish. 

 Using a small accent brush and taking a black eye shadow.

Using it as a eyeliner! 

 I'm just applying it how I normally apply my eye liner a winging it out, power will create a softer look. You will see it at the end. 

 Not only that I'm also applying it at the outer corner of my lower lash line.

 This is the finish look, you can see the soft wing. The finish eye look.

 Curl your lashes and prep it for mascara.

 I'm using my Tarte Camera, Lights and Lashes Macara.

 Wriggle the wand thru your lashes and see your lashes come alive.

 Taking a Peachy Blush on a Stippling Brush 

 Brush it on the apples of the cheek.

 NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Istanbul 

 It's a soft pink color color and it ties in nicely with the purple smokey eye.

After that you're done!!! Simple as that!

The only problem now is deciding what to wear!

Yup that is the real dilemma!
